Roman are firmly embedded with key International Hotel Groups, Architects and Designers – this is where trends start and then ultimately filter down into retail and domestic markets. The major drivers behind the trends are fashion, design solutions and simply moving away from the chrome finish and clear glass which has seen hotels opt for different colour finish options in the bathroom for many years.
Roman consider colour as a key principle and have embedded this within product ranges for a number of years by working extremely hard with key suppliers to bring these designs and volume breakthroughs into the retail market.
As the market is becoming increasingly commoditised, the designer brands are moving away from chrome and clear glass into coloured finishes and increasingly into the textured and printed glass. Roman has recently introduced a Fluted glass wetroom panel which demonstrates a new stylish, decorative glass finish.
At the top end of the market, it is all about colour finishes and Roman will be introducing a fifth colour option in early 2020. Polished nickel was a recent extension to our colour collection alongside chrome, matt black and brushed nickel. Design solutions within the hotel market are constantly filtering down into the retail market. With this in mind, in early 2020, Roman will be launching basin and vanity tops that integrate into the shower enclosure and tray as a product for the retail market.
Colour in the bathroom has already been adopted for years in the hospitality market and is now quickly making its way back into higher and mid-range sales in retail. Roman offers a selection of shower tray colour finishes including white and grey with the option of a stunning shimmer finish.
Matt black is becoming a trendy, stylish colour choice for showers, chrome fittings and accessories. Roman’s new Liberty Black Grid collection is bold enough to make a statement in any space. The black grid latticed style encapsulates industrial chic with an elegant twist.
The Black Grid design has been introduced to Roman’s Liberty range and is available in two shower style options; a wetroom panel or a hinged door. It features a matt black profile and the printed glass leads the current industrial look trend in bathroom design. For more of a minimalist design, there is also the option of clear glass with matt black hardware which can be coordinated with brassware across the bathroom.
Roman’s Black Grid Mirrors offer a simple, bold, on-trend look and create a sense of space in any room, hallway or space. The square and arched shaped style mirrors are large enough to be a feature mirror above a mantelpiece or in a hall, or as a solo feature on a wall. Each styled mirror is supplied with black metal brackets and fixings for hanging.
